Shaky Knees may be a new festival, but for the second year, they managed to ring in an exceptional line-up, featuring nationally renowned acts and some of Nashville’s personal favorites.
A sea of ponchos dotted Atlantic Station on Friday, May 9, as festival-goers valiantly braved the soaked ground to attend numerous shows, traveling between the four stages with little regard for intrusive rains. From downpours to drizzles, roars of excitement soared through the crowds, who were consistently more consumed by the charismatic performances delivered.
With Modest Mouse, The National, and Alabama Shakes as headliners, the festival saw its attendance double from 9,000 to 18,000 in just one year. “Overall, I would say it was a great festival,” says one attendee. “Nine out of ten festival-goers would probably say it was one of the best.”
