Happenings /// Turbo Fruits go whole hog for Butter, Grimey’s Americanarama, AMA guide, Little Bandit, Daniel Ellsworth & the Great Lakes and more

– There is an overwhelming amount of musical activities this weekend – from Built to Spill and AMA showcases tonight to Musican’s Corner, Americanarama at Grimey’s, the East Centric Music Festival and Beach House tomorrow (and more showcases). But on Sunday, why not go whole hog with Turbo Fruits? I’ll explain: Jonas and the boys are throwing a “pig shred” over at The Groove, with the help of  Porter Road Butcher Shop’s delicious meats. Of course, the band will play some tunes from their new release, Butter. Hog, er, heaven.

– Speaking of Americanarama: here’s the scoop. Starting at noon, the whole Grimey’s complex including the Basement and the back lot will be open with music, a vinyl sale and food provided by Riff’s Fine Street FoodsSmoke Et Al, and the Biscuit Love Truck. Plus Jackalope beer. Free and all ages – so should be a ton of fun. See the full schedule after the jump.

– And then AMA-fest wise, tonight is a tough choice. You’re best to park yourself at Cannery Row, and hop from one venue to another. Here’s what I’d recommend, if you really want to hit a lot:  8:30 ///  Max Gomez  @THE HIGH WATT, 9:00 /// Holy Ghost Tent Revival @MERCY , 9:30 /// Two Gallants @HIGH WATT, 10:00 /// Robert Ellis @CANNERY, 11:00 /// John Hiatt @CANNERY, 11:30 /// Andrew Combs @HIGH WATT.

– Don’t want to leave the east side? Hit Little Bandit’s EP release party at the 5 Spot.

– Speaking of the east side, you can hit the East-Centic Pavillion‘s grand opening on Saturday all day behind the new Shoppes on Fatherland – Kate Tucker, Mockingbird, The Hearts in Love and more are playing.

– Don’t want Americana anything? Remember our guide, over here, starring Beach House and Built to Spill.

– Last but not least, you have Daniel Ellsworth & the Great Lakes and Neulore at Exit/In on Saturday. Want free tickets? Tweet us and we’ll hook one lucky follower up with a pair.
