A Dylan is back in the Nashville Skyline.
Jakob Dylan‘s The Wallflowers just announced that they are currently recording in Nashville, at Dan Auerbach’s Easy Eye studio.
The LP will be released by Columbia Records this fall, and will have Dylan joining original band members Greg Richling (on bass) and Rami Jaffee (keyboards), with Wallflowers’ longtime guitarist Stuart Mathis and drummer Jack Irons (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam). The album is being produced by Jay Joyce, who worked with Emmylou Harris and Cage the Elephant. This will be the first full-length release since 2005’s Rebel, Sweetheart.
“It’s been a while since we’ve felt this energized and creative. We haven’t changed our stripes so much as we’re continuing to redefine the animal,” says Dylan.
The band has announced a limited number of tour dates, listed after the jump, with a set of full tour dates (and likely Nashville one) to be released soon.
